Just lately I've found myself listening to a lot of music with both female and male lead singers. I'm not sure why that is... maybe it's my subconcious telling me to give up the single life. Maybe.
I stopped listening to my subconscious sometime ago though. I don't trust it. Last time I listened to it I got arrested - apparently running around naked in the park howling like a beast of the night is illegal. We are only animals you know.. it felt natural.

Wow I just read what I wrote... I've gone completely off track. This always seems to happen late on a Monday night. I get so tired as a result of the weekend (aren't we supposed to rest on weekends?). Anyway I have to 'bring it back' to this band called Mates of State who I've been meaning to blog for sometime. So Bring It Back is their new album (I'm on fire tonight). I'm really into it and am willing to predict that it will make my top 5 albums of 2006. Mates of State are a husband and wife duo from San Francisco. The fact that they're husband and wife seems to work really well for them - these two just seem so happy together. When I listen to their music I feel like frolicking through the meadows, picking sunflowers while little butterflies flutter around the place. Look I know that sounds a bit cheesy but I know you'd like to be there too - admit it.
