I woke up this morning feeling like I had fallen into a deep sleep on August 24 1998 and woken up in the now. On my 26th birthday the last 8 years have just blasted passed me like the L90 bus on an early morning/late night bender when you are desperately trying to get home with only a few rubles and a button in your pocket. What to do. I felt like I was a vampire that had forgotten to set his alarm clock and was now awake, drained and unfulfilled. Craving the schweet satisfaction of sustenance I moved to me old mate iTunes.

SUGAR ARMY came over the speakers and satisfied my greedy lust instantly. With a darker tone to their music they turned my malnourished carcass into a raging indie vampire. I was now ready to make my way to SANDWICH CLUB @ CANDYS and eye off my next audible victims or loiter down to Barons, camouflage myself in its smokey atmosphere and romance a bottle of red wine.

SUGAR ARMY are yet another topping in the Big Western Deli that is Perth. Their depth of talent seeps through your lobes in all of their tracks. They are definately no token indie outfit. Tracks such as "Madhaaus" and "Greed is Good" instill a dark party vibe in you as the the addictive guitar riffs clash with the ghostly distortions and scratch away at your inhibitions. I guess thats what the lads had in mind when they wrote my favorite "I Got Your Soul". MMMMMMWAAAAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!
