Song For The Fields
London, EnglandNow here's a new favourite... Fields. A 5-piece from London stitched together by Bloc Party manager Simon White. Oh and I do mean 'stiched'. Just take a look at their backgrounds. There's singer and keyboardist Thorunn Anton who's father was famous for writing the Icelandic national anthem. And bassist Matty Derham who spent years cutting the hair for Bloc Party, Franz and the Rapture. Then there's a not so cool ex-back up singer from Junior Senior - a diverse bunch eh? Think the sounds of the American midwest blended with progressive rock, similar to Broken Social Scene but all the same unique.
