I won't lie. The closest thing I've ever come to a B boy was in year 9 when I was at the receiving end of a converse to the face... I'm just a lanky guy who's about as gangster as Michael Jackson is black. Tomorrow night, however, I'm going to do my best to fit in while I catch some quality tunes from hip hop legend Lyrics Born with Pigeon John in support. And no, they're not gangsters. They're the gentlemen type of that genre of music (I just needed a good lead in).
So I'm excited. Lyrics Born is one of two of my favourite hip hop artists and although he tours here regularly these days, tomorrow will be the first time I've ever had a chance to see the man.

On promotion in this current tour is his new live album, Overnite Encore, which is a collection of recordings from his last tour down under. I don't have the album yet, but it's been blasted over the J's and FBi in the last few days and from what I've heard, it sounds fucking excellent.
