The Wednesday Society...On Thursday?

Perth, Western Australia
Today I took it upon myself to decide that this year is going entirely too fast for humanity's liking. So in every effort to slow things down a tad I tried to trick my senses into thinking that it was infact yesterday today. Breakfast, vegemite on toast and a cup of tea (oh well thats pretty stock standard, no surprises for the taste buds there). Tried working on a project that was assigned for completion yesterday (brain covered). I even left my calendar on Wednesday (eyes covered). Now for my lobes. All they were hearing was "its now 10 past so and so on Th@#$day", from our friends at fBi radio. I knew that if they kept this up the rest of my successfully slowed body would catch up. In a 'slow-mo' nnnnooooooo... I snatched the mouse and restored calm to the situation by selecting The Wednesday Society. Being from Perth, where everything moves at a more leisurely, 1 day slower pace, these guys don't care what day it is they just want to make you forget about everything around you and move to your own spiratic backbeat. Winning awards such as WAM Rock Song Of the Year (for 'Red Means Go') these talented lads will have you hitting the (<<) button like Rainman hits his forehead when he has to fly Quantas! Spotting their uncanny ability The Subways, Les Savy Fav (US), Wolf & Cub, Pharaohs, Expatriate and Bit By Bats have all had The Wedesday Society as special guests to warm up the stage with their explosive punk/pop rock. When they make it over to Sydney be sure to spot them. Also plan to replace your chuck taylors the next day because after you have seen these guys play your trusty beer soaked canvas champs will be cactus.

Dancing to tunes that bands like The Wednesday Society lay down can often be a feat nay 'fit' in itself. But thanks to people like Peter Garret and moves like The Harlem Shakes people who are unable to throw a d-flo fit will be wollowing next to a pillar no longer. This group from NYC know how to make a listener dance. They just let you know that you aren't the only one dancing like a sicko. The whole room is filled with them. What a way to make you feel comfortable about your dancing skills!
