You Heard It Here First...

V Festival AU Lineup - First Announcement

Just stumbled home from the V Festival launch party, and am putting off my luxurious bed to type up a list of confirmed names - just for you. They appear in the order of My Interest. And the Pixies are not just a rumour this time.

THE PIXIES. Pet Shop Boys (I find this unjustifiably exciting). Phoenix. The Rapture. Softlightes. The Temper Trap. 2 Many DJs. Mercy Arms. Bumblebeez. Groove Armada. Gnarls Barkley and many more to be announced.

Here are a few songs to tide you over until March 31st '07 if you're in Sydney, and April 1st if you're in the Gold Coast.

I know. I couldn't bear to put up a recent one. I think we'd all rather picture them this way..

I had a dream last night that Morrissey came to V Fest as well, and I walked right behind him the whole time going HOLY CRAP ITS MORRISSEY HOLY CRAP ITS MORRISSEY HOLY CRAP ITS MORRISSEY, even while he was on stage. So its probably for the best he didn't end up confirming.

Also - Modular are playing a big hand in organising this festival (they looked after all the advertising..) so expect to see more acts from them..

I can't wait for this...or at least sideshows.

And I avoided the whole fat pixies thing by putting up surfer rosa instead. much nicer on the eyes.
