De Muzikale Situatie Down Under!

Australia is not just all beaches, and kangaroos in bikinis. We also produce some damn fine music. Thanks to Studio Brussel and Steven at Hype Channel for catching on!

Bonjour, Welkom en G'Day to all our Belgian visitors,
Thanks for having us on your airwaves tonight and letting us introduce you to some of our favourite new Australian music. Of course this is only a small taste of what our fair country has to offer, so be sure to come back and visit soon. We might be on the other side of the world, but no doubt you'll be hearing alot more from us across the ocean...

As heard on the show:
MP3: Gotye - Heart's A Mess [myspace] [buy album]
MP3: Dappled Cities - Holy Chord [myspace] [buy album]
MP3: Red Riders - C'Mon [myspace] [buy album]
MP3: Dardanelles - Of Course You Said [myspace] [buy EP]

and a few more new Aussie tracks for your taste buds:
Hip-Hop act, The Hilltop Hoods, were winners of this year's prestigious J Awards run by national youth radio network, Triple J.
MP3: Hilltop Hoods - The Hard Road [myspace]

For those that like to strangle cats and boil blood, Children Collide and Young & Restless are 2 exciting young bands on the heavier side, that pack quite a punch, and deliver a killer live show.
MP3: Children Collide - We Are Amphibious [myspace]
MP3: Young & Restless - Satan [myspace]

On the electro, or 'new rave' sound that everyone's wetting themselves over, The Midnight Juggernauts are sure to settle in well with you guys up there on the dancefloors of Europe.
MP3: Midnight Juggernauts - Raised By Wolves [myspace]

And for those that prefer to laze about on bean bags and dream about butterflies and cotton candy, here's some beautiful lo-fi pop from The Crayon Fields.
MP3: The Crayon Fields - Living So Well [myspace]

Dank u Steven!

Slightly confused was there a feature on Australian Music on the Belgian Airwaves via Studio Brussel?
If so great stuff as I have a vested interested in the Flemish speaking community.
