Institut Polaire

Perth, Australia
Due to the fact that it is my day off and I am working, my excitement levels aren't exactly up there with that perky little garden gnome of a weatherman. One ticket to 'summerhappyville' please Mr iTunes bus driver. Next stop Institut Polaire. Instantly the noxious heat retires and I am surrounded by a nautical summer lullaby. Transforming from a 3 piece to a 7,8,9 piece has enabled this diverse, sometimes schizophrenic band to create a completely different oasis for the mind with each track. But seeing as it is such a stifling hot day, jump into this lagoon of turquoise horns, hooks and lyrics.

Another little bonus track from Aloha, a band with not only the ability to whisk you away to a different location, but they will also chuck you into their tardis of melodic moogs and pianos to drop you off in the summer of '69.
