Love Of Diagrams 'Mosaic'

Melbourne, Australia
It is no secret that there is an abundance of quality bands floating within and around our shores lately. This is certainly a tick in the 'hell yeah!' column. However it does allow for certain hardworking bands to slip through our eagerly awaiting ears. Love Of Diagrams seem to be one of those teflon coated bands. Sure they have graced the shores of Japan, The States and Europe but the 'props' and 'cred' on the domestic side of things seem to be minor when placed next to other bands with much smaller itineraries. In admition I have fallen victim to the cloudy deception of 'the hype' dark side and have sampled the tasty LOD Eps but never really listened. So I have decided to use the force and listen to a band that has maintained a strong link to their instrumental roots since their first release back in 2003. A few Eps later, the new album "Mosaic" is set to be released. Below is a keyhole to have a peep through. Their music is rousing and covers all octaves. A chorus line of harping, scratchy, howling guitars are the main feature. Be stirred. Be intrigued. Be a peeping tom.

PS: You can snare LOD playing the Melbourne St Jerome's Laneway Festival on the 24th February with Swedish sweathearts Love Is All who were interviewed by our very own saucy Faucy. Fear not it will be posted momentarily! Stay tuned!
PPS: A little birdy told me the tasty record label releasing "Mosaic" is also releasing the new Art of Fighting album. Oooooh! Thats not all! New Buffalo, Wolf & Cub, Voxtrot, The Hold Steady! Check out Remote Control Records. They are my new tasty deli full of exotic flavors!

There's a nifty TV show out of Sydney called Nocturnal that did a feature on Love of Diagrams just after returning from the US; with footage from their show @ Rebel Rebel. Check it here http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Xsd7-szfFc0
And check all the other aussie goodness from past episodes at their website http://www.nocturnaltv.org
