Jerry from Whothehell recommended we check these guys out. Gameboy/Gamegirl fall into the category of filthy, dirty electro bubblegum pop reinvented by Spank Rock early last year. After listening to these guys you know they're going to do well. They sit on the fence between indie and dance and have a solid sound that will be picked up by punters on either side. By the way, a special kudos to MTV's Kickstart program. They seem to be picking the cream of the crop of newcomers which is making our lives a whole lot easier. Gameboy/Gamegirl played in the Melbourne finals but lucked out to Dance With Voices (who played at an SClub night late last year). Speaking of which, this Wednesday night is the NSW finals where Walrus, Pang, The Mania, The Shake Up and Fergus Brown will battle it out for up'n'comer superiority. Personally I'm a big fan of Walrus and Pang so here's hoping.
