A good songwriter is also a good storyteller. The lyrics, the melody, the rhythm - a multi-dimensional world guided by the writer but created by the listener. This is one such gift of good music; its ability to transport you to far off places that are inaccessible from your current situation. Peregrine have that. Swashbuckling, rollicking melodies through the seas of the unknown. Although the music is not that similar, I am reminded of the first time I heard The Coral due to their ability to convey this sense of adventure.
Peregrine are on the verge of releasing their second LP, Stay Inside and Misbehave this is their first single off it, 'The Good Ship'. Judging by this preview, it's sure to be a success... By the way, check out their oldie 'Fingerpointing' from their 2003 debut. It's a great track as well.
