Chris Chinchilla formerly guitarist/songwriter for the UK indie-pop group Art Brut is heading down under for a whirlwind tour of the pubs. On display will be his first solo work, a generous 8-track EP titled Small Gregarious Mammal. It's a far cry from his Art Brut days - it seems he's found the love of an acoustic guitar. The songs are well written and retain the element of sarcasm that propelled his former band to the international stage.

Chris is yet to hang up his rock star jacket, however. His new band Macaca Mulatta will be releasing their first single at the end of the year (some tracks on the EP are acoustic versions of these songs).
