Cuthbert & the Nightwalkers at Itty Bitty
Sydney, Australia
If two is company, then Cuthbert's a crowd. There's so many people on stage you can't count them all without taking your shoes off. Frontman and singer-songwriter, Richie, likens their sound to Flaming Lips and The Polyphonic Spree which is pretty accurate considering their quirky lyrics and country-pop sound. They also have a contingent of cute female vocalists all crowding the mic, that reminds me of The Supremes. Except that they're white, and they sound more like the kids who sang back-up in Pink Floyds "The Wall" (sans English accents).
Good natured fun for the drunk and the sober alike. Come and join in. They hit the stage at 9pm at Sandwich Club Itty Bitty Festival.
