Jack Ladder - playing Itty Bitty!
Sydney, Australia
I can't wait to get my folk on this Saturday.. I'm gonna line up a few beers, get myself a beanbag and plant myself up close when Jack Ladder gets onstage. At 23, Jack has a lyrical depth most musicians never find. With the sparse use of instrumentation he is able to create a focus on his poetry, which is delivered with a honeyed baritone. Nick Cave springs to mind immediately, mostly for the similarity in voice and delivery, as the music has a more uplifting quality than most of Caves work. Don't miss him.
